About this deal

The main aspect I really love about this book and which i really grew to already appreciate in book one is how easy these books are on you as a reader. For a book that is said to be “spicy” I didn’t find the spice in this to be realistic or good at all. This was fucked up and twisted in a way it shouldn't have been and left me disgusted with the characters. That is until one choosing he is forced to follow his brotherin to Tithe to choose their mates, and one lowly human survives his deadly touch, Arlo.

Arlo has always taken care of his sister, Auriol, ever since his parents have passed of a terrible sickness he has watched over her. Like thats fine i guess but it seems like it was the same thing everytime and there wasnt much meaningful conversations as i would like.Let me start off by praising the authors magnificent wordage when it came to making Arlo the *Persephone in the plot.

I’m curious as to how this world will look come the third book, depending on when it takes place we may have some questions answered that I’ve been wondering about. It has been many years since the vampiric disease spread wildly across Darkmourn, making humans a rarity. We see two vampires, one of which is I think to be a vampire witch and the other is the original vampire, meeting with Arlo, Faenir and Auriol.

It took me a while to get into this but overall it was a pretty decent book, if I could I would give it 3.

Es un "retelling" del mito de Hades y Persefone, y debo decir que se manejo muy bien desde la semilla de granada hasta el por qué de la existencia de Caronte y el río Estigio. It made me wonder if Faenir would truly be a good king or not, since it seems as though his priorities mostly lie with Arlo. I don't know if I've just become a critical bitch this past few months, or what it is, but "Lord of Eternal Night" was the first book I read this year, and I actually did enjoy it! Maybe I was clouded because I knew the author from tiktok and I felt like giving him an opportunity, but let's be real right now, this book sucks. I liked the idea of a Hades and Persephone retelling but the story was a little too mismatched for my liking.

There was no writing about them getting dressed or fixing themselves up to be suitable for a bonding ceremony; Faenir just removed the shadows and they walked out. And of course Arlo is the only one who won't die, so he must be the rightfully mate, his one love right?

The first book was okay but I enjoyed it enough to continue the series but after this train wreck 💀 i won't. Still ima continue this series because its brainless entertainment and im interested in seeing what happens.I followed Ben a while on social media and he seems like a nice guy but I don't think his books are for me.
