About this deal

There are all these kinds of areas that attract people who get so passionate about something that might be meaningless to somebody else. There’s an icon that says it’ll let you see “funny bloopers and outtakes”, but I couldn’t get it to work.

By the way, make sure you stick it out through the very end - Reed’s long discussion of the end titles is hilarious. We use cookies to give you the best possible experience on our site, provide personalised content and advertising, analyse our traffic, and ensure you see more of what you love. This is also one of those movies where social media and the internet in general are far more powerful than I've ever seen in the real world- any little thing that happens gets shared around the world instantly, and there's even an online "Cheer Goddess" (Vivica A. Having watched it countless times since then including a re-purchase on Blu-Ray recently, I'm concluding that it was aimed at a mass teen audience but also done a little tongue in cheek. This causes the audience to turn on the Rebels and boo them off the stage, and word soon spreads around the whole "cheerniverse" that The Truth is asserting its superiority, though nobody knows exactly who they are. The guys from Warrant are probably going to show up at my house and kick my ass for saying how much. The dialogue was appropriately bad and yes, cheesy enough to make you wish that it were serious and deep.

DTS Master Audio mix is sparklingly clean as well, but not nearly as surround-heavy as the past entries in the series. But none of it is anything you haven't seen before, especially if you've seen all the other movies in this series, and it's hard to even care about the lead characters here. A High School cheerleading squad discover that the reason they have won five times in a row is because their routines have been stolen from another school. She aptly could switch from riot grrl to cutesy cheerbabe without much effort, and I accepted the character’s changes and moods as realistic. I knew she had the charm and she knew how to ride this tonal line of what was funny about it and commit to the situation.

A lot of the stuff I've done has ended up on laser discs so I wanted to try to do something really great for my own DVD.

If you have BD-Live enabled, the disc will start out with a few "fresh previews" which came up different each time I played the disc but in rather low picture quality with 2-channel sound. As if having to find new cheers were not enough trouble, Torrance also has romantic decisions to make: She has to choose between her oily but pretty current boyfriend and Missy's less popular but rocking brother, Cliff (Jesse Bradford). It's always a bummer to get the DVD of a movie you love and find out that there's nothing on it at all. The Toro cheerleading squad from Rancho Carne High School in San Diego has got spirit, spunk, sass and a killer routine that’s sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. Also, since this is a teen dramedy, Torrance and her off to college boyfriend have problems, and Missy's brother Cliff is right there to help Torrance out with all her cheerleader angst.
